Rock The Bells 2007 in Auburn Hills, MI.
The Lineup: Immortal Technique, Slum Village, Phat Kat, Pharaoh Monch, Talib Kweli, Nas and Wu-Tang Clan.
The reason? 32nd row seats quickly became 3rd row seats when Immortal Technique yelled out, "AY YO . . . FUCK THE RULES. I NEED EVERYONE UP FRONT RIGHT NOW!!!"
After the stampede my cousin, brother and myself managed to sit in our new seats for the entire 6 hour show. While everyone else was getting the boot after showing the ushers their tickets. Also the multiple fights that erupted when Monch performed "Simon Says" -- to the point where Monch stopped the track for a minute and told everyone to look at the fight breaking out at the side of the auditorium. All performers killed their sets.
A close second would be Kanye's Glow In The Dark tour for the stage alone. That was the craziest set-up I've seen.
I'm looking forward to Rock The Bells 2010 if it comes back up to Michigan, but I'd like to see The Roots in concert.

I've only been to 2 concerts: Rock the Bells 2008, and Lil Wayne. Rock the Bells was like a life changing experience. I had to go by myself, and I think that actually might have made it better.

agreed. only ever been to one concert. the Smokin Grooves tour in 96 at the E center in camden. it was the fugees, busta rhymes, cypress hill, spearhead (wasn''t a fan), call of the wild (they was aight) and a bunch of other acts i can't remember, and nas was supposed to be there but never showed up. but when bus performed he tore shit down. dude started performing "ya ya yaaa", jumped off the stage and ran thru the crowd. security all left there posts to get to him and everybody rushed the front. i made it from the grass section all the way to the 3rd row.
i never seen red and meth live, but i heard their show is crazy. walkin over top of the crowd and all kinds of interactive shit. i can't pay money just to see a muffukka just walkin across stage back and forth. if u aint playin an instrument, then u better dance or do some wild shit. except hov, he can just stand in the middle of the stage moving nothing but his right hand and have the whole audience boppin on time with that hand. now thats crowd control.

I saw the roots several times and each time they kilt it. Yes nigga kilt! I remember they opened for erika badu (however u spell her name) and they were up on stage for damn near 2 and a half hours. Ripping all the classics and their recent album at the time. When she came out to preform ppl started leaving bc of her lack luster opening. Lol so if u do get a chance....go

i dunno cuz i'm a concert rat. i go to every show i can. Red and Meth was dope. Mos Def was entertaining. Wu was cool as a group. I missed rock the bells, no fault of my own. The last show i saw was Nas last month that was sick as hell, cuz the way the show was set up. 1st show i remember seeing the vip being directly connected to the stage, so the VIP bands my boy gave me from his press kit, had me and my lil sis watchin the show from row zero, right next to kayne, rza, amber rose and kid cudi. that was cool. But i have to agree wit blizz Busta is the best performer i've seen hands down, seen his show 3 times in 3 diff cities, whenever i can see him rock, i'll be there.... close 2nd tho gotta go the Tech N9ne, i saw his anghellic album release show in kcmo. that shit was intense.

Prince - Musicology Tour 2004. No opening act, just him and his band rocking for a solid two hours.
The contest was soooooo dope, I went back two months later to see it again.
