For those who have a Blackberry and use Blackberry Messenger, there is a group for BT. We occasionally chat, and I will keep you updated on site happenings.

To join, all you need to do is download the attachment, then while it's on your screen, go to your Blackberry Messenger and choose Scan a Barcode. IT will load your camera, take the pic, and there you are. (Ain't that something.)

It's actually quite scary. I did it for another group just to try it and realized I can no longer show my ass on my blackberry because people will see me. *sigh*.....lol

SMH... Damn technology. And here I was looking forward to the ass.

So what's with this barcode thing? I don't remember scanning it. And is that used instead of exchanging pins?

^^^Yes, it replaces the whole PIN thing. It's more beneficial when it's for a large group. Since you were already on my BB, I just invited you but generally, the barcode would be how people would get access to the group without needing the group owner's PIN.

Well it really depends what you want it for. I know some BB's have featured that others don't. So it really comes down to if it's for business purposes, or just to have one. I have the Curve 8330. It's fine for just pleasure. Now if you want one for business, I would say maybe the World Edition or the Tour. I'm no expert, so you might wanna check out the features and specs on them.

Yea, it does depend on what you want it for. If you can give me an idea of what you plan on using it for, I can recommend one for you. I usually sell 5 a week. I am a Crackberry addict...

My girl keeps telling me how much she loves her Blackberry and that I should get one. I refuse in principal; I'm addicted to enough stuff as it is.

Depends on what you want it for. 8520, 8900, 9700, or 9000 are the best models out. (the latter two being more rugged for dudes)

really looking for one that has flash support..and I can view real web pages. Then again i hear all phones are getting that in the near future

Chelle

Most phones don't support flash, but they do allow an otherwise true web experience. Blackberry is supposed to be coming flash compliant as they struck a deal with Adobe but that was 4 months ago. It still hasn't been released.

And that shouldn't stop you from your purchase. When it does get released, it will be a simple software app that will be needed.

My blackberry 8820 doesn't have a damn camera. . . I'll have to scour ebay for a 8900 or a Bold for cheap.

Dropped my Berry back in 03 before the BB became an accessory. Much too limited when compared to a device like the Droid.
